Folks, you may have noticed that ballinascreen.com was offline for a few hours today – primarily due to the site being hacked by some eejits from Kuwait (or so they claim). From what we can tell, they managed to exploit a weakness in the ballinascreen.com Image Gallery so we’ve taken that offline for the moment.

Luckily, we take regular backups of our site, and we’re not entirely sure at this time if we were deliberately targeted, or if this was the result of some automated bot probing for security vulnerabilities – anyway, regardless, we’re back in action again. Apologies for any inconvenience!

Draperstown Celtic FC will be hosting a Texas Hold’em Poker Night in The Market Inn (Reagans) on Friday 31st March, starting at 8pm sharp.

Derry play Down at the Dean McGlinchey Park in Straw on Sunday 26th March in the Allianz National Football League 2006. The club committee would request that all club members turn up at 1.30pm to help steward the game.

The Northern Ireland Blood Tranfusion Service have organised a blood donation session which will be held in St Colm’s High School on Friday 14th April from 10am – 3.30pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend and donate blood to this vital, life-saving community service.

• Past pupils of St Colm’s High School are invited to a Trip Down Memory Lane evening in the school Assembly Hall on Monday 3rd April at 8pm. Light refreshments will be served. This will also be an opportunity to bring everyone up-to-date on the building of the new Sports Hall and associated facilties.
• At a recent meeting of the newly consistuted Board of Governors of St Colm’s High School, Patsy McShane was re-appointed as Chairman for another four year term.
