CCÉ LogoTo celebrate the opening of their new premises, An Scioból, Ballinascreen CCÉ have organised a full week of activities an events. The new premises can be found to the rear of The Market Inn (Regans) on St Patrick’s Street.

Here is the complete event itenary:

» Saturday 10th November

  • Music Workshops in St Colm’s High School
  • Classes in Fiddle, Bodhrán, Tin Whistle/Flute, Banjo/Mandolin
  • Classes run from 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm
  • Admission is £5

» Sunday 11th November

  • Afternoon Sets Ceili in An Ráth Dubh, Moneyneena
  • From 4pm – 7pm
  • Music by The Copperplate Ceili Band
  • Admission is £5

» Monday 12th November

  • Quiz Night in An Sciobó
  • Starts at 9pm
  • Admission is £2

» Tuesday 13th November

  • Usual weekly Music Workshops in St Colm’s High School

  • Dianchúrsa Gaeilge in An Scioból from 8.30p

» Thursday 15th November

  • Sets Workshop in An Scioból

» Additional Flu Vaccine Clinics

Flu Vaccine Clinics are to be held in Draperstown Surgery on Thursday 1st November and Thursday 8th November from 2pm – 5pm. As with previous clinics, it is vitally important for those aged 65 and over, and those who have any medical condition to receive the flu vaccine as we enter the winter months.

» Information Evening @ The Rural College

An information evening about the Ndi Moyo Palliative Care Centre (NMPCC) based in Malawi, Central Africa, will take place in the Rural College on Monday 29th October at 8pm. Lucy Finch, a malawian nurse, and founder of the Centre, will tell of her work with the chronically ill and the poor in her area of Malawi. She will also be taking this opportunity to thank the parishoners for their generosity to this cause and raise awareness of our need to continue to support it. Everyone is welcome.
