» Sixtowns Drama Group Production

The Sixtowns Drama Group are to stage a production of The Bride looks a Million in the main assembly hall of St Colm’s High School on Sunday 6th April at 8pm. All proceeds go towards the school and your support would be appreciated.

Update: This event is now scheduled to take place on Sunday 1st June at 8pm in St Colm’s High School.

» Rural Key Music Project – CD Launch Showcase

The Glasgowbury Music Group present the CD Launch Showcase for the Rural Key Music Project which is now in its second year. It takes place on Saturday 31st May in the Cellar Bar at 7.30pm. Without further ado, here’s the lowdown from the folks themselves:

Join the Glasgowbury Crew as we celebrate the release of our new CD, written and performed by participants of the Rural Key Music Project.
The CD includes fifteen tracks from Mid-Ulster’s finest upcoming young bands and songwriters, ranging from delicately melodic to balls-to-the-wall rock’n'roll!
Performing on the night will be:

  • Congratulations to the Ballinascreen girls who helped Derry U16 Camogie team win the All-Ireland ‘B’ title, Congratulations to Bronagh McGillian who won the Derry heat of the Camogie Feile Shillstar competition. She now represents Derry in the All-Ireland Feile.

» Formation of Basketball Club

A new Basketball Club will be formed to play out of the new Sports Hall in the Ulster Leagues from U10’s through to adults for both boys and girls. A meeting to discuss this will be held in the hall at 8pm on Wednesday 21st May. Anyone wishing to help – parent, player or ex-player are invited to attend.
