In the current financial climate, no-one needs reminding about the increasing cost of few and the issues surrounding fuel poverty, Magherafelt District Council is one of a growing number of Fuel Poverty Steering Groups which have been set up since 2006. Their aim is to raise awareness of fuel poverty through local publicity campaigns and to make communities aware of grant schemes and local initiatives.
With this in mind, stamps for the scheme are available from Patsy Cassidys Newsagents (Magherafelt Road) and the local Credit Union. Each stamp costs£5
