A Cross Community Disco for Primary School children will take place in the Backrow Sports Hall on Sunday 13th December from 3pm – 5pm. Santa will be making an appearance and all children under 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

The official switch-on of the Christmas lights in Draperstown will take place at 7pm on Friday 11th December. School children who would like to be in with a chance of switching on the lights are asked to submit their names via the notice slips which have been supplied to their schools. All names will be entered into a special draw on the night, with the lucky winner switching on the lights. Everyone welcome.

The local PTAA December Dance will be held on Friday 11th December in St. Mary’s Primary School, with entertainment supplied by Jericho. Dancing from 9pm until midnight. Supper served. Everyone is welcome.

• Ballinascreen Historical Society will be holding a social evening at the Shepherds Rest Pub, Sixtowns, with the Armagh Rhymers at 8pm on Tuesday 1st December. Admission is £3 and a light supper will be served. Contact (028) 79628517 for more information.

A Christmas Fayre will take place at the premises of Ballinascreen Early Years at 7.30pm on Monday 30th November from 7.30pm. Everyone welcome.

St Mary’s Primary School will be taking part in a Cash for Clobber collection in aid of school funds. Any unwanted clothes and shoes can be brought to the school in black bags on the morning of Tuesday 1st December. Your support would be appreciated.

Christmas Tea with Patsy O’Hagan and full supporting cast will take place in An Ráth Dubh on Sunday 13th December. Tickets cost £10 and all proceeds are in aid of Children in Crossfire.
